From the Music Minister
The music ministry at FCC is a vital part of our worship experience and is fueled by the commitment of creative volunteers.  We have two blended services, one at 8:30 a.m. and another at 10:30 a.m. In these services you can expect to find the great old hymns right alongside new contemporary worship songs, and special music offerings from solo vocalists or instrumentalists to small groups of various combinations. The Chancel Choir, which sings in our 10:30 a.m. service, practices on Wednesday evenings from 7-8 p.m. At these rehearsals, we usually prepare the anthem for each Sunday as well as special music for liturgical seasons or special occasions. We also have a handbell choir, the Chalice Chimers. Their rehearsals are on the first and third Sundays of each month from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.  The handbells play their own anthems, generally at least once per month, as well as for special services. Both groups take a break in the summer to allow our members the opportunity to refuel.

We are currently looking to expand our horizons by adding more vocalists and musicians to serve on a praise team rotation in the 8:30 a.m. service, for special songs in both services and for other musical events as needs arise. We are also looking for gifted audio-visual technicians with a passion for enhancing our worship experiences. If you are interested in serving in our music ministry please call Lisa Wynn or e-mail her. If you are interested in serving in our audio-visual ministry, please contact Karen Allen or email him. You can also contact the church office for more information at 282-4080.
